I thought the answer was INSTANT WHIP but you say the second word was 8 letters and INSTANT WHIPPING doesn't sound right. I am confident the first word is INSTANT. Perhaps Mamya, Chrisg or John from Arran may advise.

thanks for all the help i guess we are not as clever as we think we are even though my mother does trhe crossword in the daily express we are still struggling with a number of the clues two of which i have tried to research but have come up with nothing here they are.
