Thanks, Jazzgirl and Mamya! Never thought of the
snooker connotation - and there's me, playing every
week!

Jazzgirl and Mamya, how impressive is that? You are both very good at answering all sorts of queries and you even know about snooker!! I'll never catch up! Well done!

Hi there As a young curate in 1965 I was invited into the Mens Institute next door to the church. I had enjoyed Applied Maths and thought I understood angles etc so I entered the two annual tournaments for billiards and snooker. Generously they gave a nice little !! handicap AND I WON both. My name went up on the honours board in Gold letters - Wow ( what could stop me) But no the bishopric never came my way I wonder why? I still enjoy a game but only on a good table =- then forget spin and swerve -- get the angle right and the ball goes in every time!!! Cheers to you all.
