This is for a Geocaching puzzle (http://coord.info/GC1EBRP).

A set of coordinates have been given (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=S43+30.535+E172+34.550) and all of the answers are also streets names within 3km of that point.

The clues have been put together into the following passage:
You will need a road levy to go this way (A) until it sounds like you should tease the backward English boy to the end (B, C). Go left for a bit – why go round here? Next veer around towards the muddled set (C, D). Lastly, head into the arcane palace (E).

I am rubbish at cryptic stuff like this, and even after reading up on how to solve them, I am still at a loss. Is anyone able to give me the answers?

It appears both of the links are broken because of the automatic formatting, please copy and paste

I have no idea what you are trying to do
Your second link gives a map of Harvey Field, Snohomish, Washington, USA.
Safe trip!

That will probably break, so try

First, where did you get the co-ordinates? I'm not a member
Those put it at the North corner of Memorial Ave & Greers Rd. in a small park by the Aurora Centre.
There appears to be a large tree surrounded by a shield shape.
Is that an historic land mark?
Any toll roads nearby?

The cache is near a fence. In between, I don't know yet.

A = ROAD LEVY [anagram]
B = TEASE [homophone] + (E+LAD) [reversal]
C = BIT WHY [anagram]
D = VEER + SET [anagram]
E = arcaNE PALace [container]

Here's the route:

Head NW on Memorial, turn R at
A = Roydvale Ave, go NE, turn R at
B = Teesdale St, go E, then S, turn L at
C = Whitby St, go SE, turn L at
D = Everest St, go NE & E, turn L at
E = Nepal Pl.

Do the math for the co-ordinates & you're there.
Look for a fence near a cabbage (?) tree.

Have fun.

Fantastic - thank you very much!

Most of those answers now seem to make sense with your explanation - still not sure I would be able to figure them out though...

Are you able to explain this one a bit more: (E+LAD) [reversal]

Thanks.

I see your question has been answered.

I'm not a geocacher, & I live near this city: 48 25.43, - 123 21.56
so, far from you, but I have relatives near there.

BTW, that format, degree plus decimal minute, works but is a pain to convert.
Most maps use just the decimal degree, e.g. 48.4222; or degree, minute, second.
Please tell the site.

Next problem. The cache description uses the terms “street number” & “house number”.
Is there a difference? With my limited resources, I could only find the latter.

My checksum came to 163, resulting in a negative number for G, obviously incorrect.
I have a wrong number for one of the above “terms”. Maybe someone built a new house since the cache was placed.

Simple logic dictates which numbers are odd or even.
AB is a given, 29, as is EF, 34, & I'm fairly certain D = 1.
The bits past the decimal point are the uncertainty.

The closest I can get is -43 29.717, 172 34.303 which puts it in Nepal Reserve.
Similar numbers, a few points south – on the street, Nepal Place.

If you can send me your numbers, A to P, perhaps we can crack this.
Have you toured the neighbourhood?

Your mission, should you choose to accept it ...
