About half way through and wondered if anyone could parse 26 down please -
Turn out to be a poof? (3,2): E-D / -P

End up, presumably - ie turn out - but can't see the cryptic.

I was hoping this wouldn't come up for parsing - unless I am mistaken (hope I am ) I think the setter is being crude here.

I'll leave it there.

Not sure if this is of any help.
End up could mean invert.
An invert is a homosexual (Chamber's)

Thanks for the replies.
rusty, I hadn't considered 'invert', though I've heard the term. I can't see how it works exactly beyond it meaning 'turn up', but maybe that's it.
The thing is, why use 'poof'? Seems dodgy to me.
mamya, the crude meaning(s) crossed my mind too, but, without being indelicate, they could just as well apply to straights as well. Where are the red-faced smiley emoticons when you need them?

Perhaps I should change the subject, because I can't parse 13A Offal either!
Tripe à la Provençale here must be eaten to be approved (5) O-F-L
I can see tripe as the def, but that's it.

French for here is ici.
Official minus ici gives offal.
Official would be approved.

Brilliant! Thank you very much both, smart work.

Re End up: should I write the FT crossword editor a stiff letter of complaint or put the whole thing behind me?
(Sorry.)
