Is the first group of cells (defined by corrections) scattered rather than being in straight lines? And does it consist of 19 cells?

Connected (twice) but not scattered. I make it 50 cells however. Look up the last across in ODQ.

Thanks Cockle.
For the other groups I have 4 letters, 11 letters, and 14 letters. That leaves only 19 cells available for what we're discussing.
I understand the work the theme is referring to.
(Does that mean the items l am looking for are 'between' some other things?)

Yes, that's how I understand it. Looking at the four categories required I make the cell counts 5, 10, 14 and 11. Then there's the "between" stuff which I reckon comes to another 10 - hence my 50.

Sorry - I meant 10, 5, 11, 14 plus the "betweens".

I would agree, Kobnut, but feel that solution ignores some very significant parts of the third thematic item. I wonder if '49' should be '59'.
