Only two left on this one.

1A - Society girl, a current collector (5) S?A??

3D - Not in code, note hidden in cake. (2,5) ??/C?A?R

The last letter of 1A is the first letter of 3D and the only word I can fit into the second part of 3D is CHAIR, which makes no sense at all.

All I could think of was EN CLAIR. Eclair as in cream cake.

I am stuck on 1 across too.

3d. EN CLAIR, which means in clear writing.

Eclair (a cake) around N (a note).
