Thanks ginge, got fixated on Argos. Figured Brahms fitted but didn't see partner bit.
Proverbial presumably refers to rhyming slang for Brahms and Liszt

Hi eiderjag I accept any reference to rhyming slang would have made it too obvious but proverbial? Amazing how the mind works (well mine anyway) and it amuses me to think of the bible rewritten, yet again, in such a fashion!
