Did anyone else find this unsatisfactory.
If I've completed it correctly, the unclued
answers fall mainly in the NW quadrant of the
grid and are totally unrelated (and are not
thematic). When you spot the 'theme' the
grid fill becomes unique (although the BRB
gives 2 possible completions for 5dn; an
acronym and one other) - doubt you'd know this
without a computer searchable version of
Chambers.

I liked it myself- although I can see why people might not like the endgame.

The unclueds are 'thematic'- though not the answers themselves!

done all clues except the Scottish shelter ,found a name in the grid but now completely stuck, help please.

Can anyone confirm I've entered these solutions in the correct places?
At 17a, # 20 (pregnant...)
At 4d, # 35 (shelter) and
At 5d, #26 (bear) ???

Correction: I now believe 5d is a thematic unclued one, right? If so, where does my solution to Clue 26 (the bear) fit in?

I'm assuming btw that 2d is (also) the name of an Irish group.....................

I've got the bear at 16 a.
No idea what's going on here. I've got a name and the supposed theme, but can't see how the unclued answers are related to anything.
