Stuck on the last two:

I can't get EPOCHS out of my mind, but I can't see how it fits.

This will lead onto the last clue, for which the first letter is formed from the fourth letter of the clue above:

Lights blocked by a patterned fabric (6)
??M?A?

I can see blocked may lead to a BAR suffix, but can't get beyond that.
