Is the parsing for 28 across slighty risque? Or am I missing something

The answer is defined as "a room, cupboard, or other storage space that contains an untidy and miscellaneous collection of objects". Chambers does not contain the "risque" definition that you might find in,say, the Urban Dictionary. So the setter was either unaware, or a very naughty boy.

It has a Guardian paul esque feel to it. The Ryder cup ref evokes the American slang "junk"..
