Thank you mamya, terry and silly boy - really smart thinking, wish I was that bright.

Nowadays seems ok as I had perplexing should have had perplexity - good spot terry.

I now have had to alter two other words which now appear correct but cant understand the reasoning behind the answers. You are the guys and gal to help.

Country state capital reported - Columbia why?

A leading mischief maker ran away outside when it burned - Flamed (burning). Ran away - fled but where does mischief maker come in?

I think the answer is the country Colombia (sounds like(reported)Columbia))

If you repeatedly post the same thing to a forum/chat room - so much so that no one else can get through - it is called Flaming.

actually it appears to be a combination of A leading (M)ischief maker and Fled outside.

Thank you trevor. I would never have thought of a mischief maker blocking up a chat line. I am very grateful. Claire.

I've checked Flaming in this context (mischief) and I wasn't quite right but it still makes sense for the purpose of the answer.
