Assuming these are correct, can anyone help with the parsing ....?

12a. Charm of national completing the course at St Andrews? (6) - MASCOT (Charm)

I thought 'National' might be SCOT, but then that leaves MA for St Andrews so perhaps not.

1a. Rich old entrepreneurs all on vacation somewhere in Greece (6) - ?H?D?S - RHODES would fit the def. but I can't parse any of it.
