The other might be NAVY. It includes letters from NAVigator, and lonelY, but I can't make sense of it.

I've got RACY for that - end letters, see above, reversed ('turnin'g in clue)

Well done elle. I don't like "extremities for just the ends though - it should be LYACSANR backwards (though I can't pronounce that.
