Is anybody else having difficulties tuning into the setter's wavelength today?

Scratching my head over these two:
19 down—Perhaps a curse cobblers, saying nothing. (4,3)
Have D??? A?? (Can't believe answer is Damn All.}
29 across—Trip over rhino in Uganda and African's first to run! (6)
Have ??T?N? (Outing?)

An awl will be used by a cobbler. rhino is tin, Ugand is UG and over is o. Hope this helps
