THE LANG UNS
If you like a little challenge in the odd half hour between Goggleboxers and the News why not try THE LANG UNS?
THE LANG UNS are the extra long phrases that the crossword setter would like to include but has never got enough space.
The following have been gathered from under the setters desk and are exposed to the glare of the world TODAY.
The clues are not watertight cryptic rather more allusive , suggestive or connective if you get my drift.
Oh and something else you should know—Some of the word lengths are not right (giggles all round). Either one too many or one less . Its just possible that in a particular clue the word lengths are all correct OR all wrong.
Any way—(AYW) here are the first five. Anyone getting two right will receive a SWEETIE (in the post)
1. The beginning of two P,s (2,2,1,5,12,13)
2. Puss in much deception – with hay say (3,7,5,3,3,3,3,5)
3. A matter of existence – or the opposite (3,3,3,3,2,2,4,2,3,8)
4. 120 days usually after Mothers Day (6,4,4,8,4,3,2,8)
5. Part of digital table ( 5,6,3,8)

Would you like us to write them as we get them, or not until a deadline, or what, thea? I can see #3

If the list gets short I can add extras on for latecomers. But of course the first sweeties are the best ( with shiny wrappers.)
