Stuck on 25 across: Hot dish from Murdoch and Sun, beset by the awful wife (5,4).
I thought "fried rice" as a reference to Murdoch's wife but that would mess up 26d/15a: Harebrained as Cook's far from 100% effort? (4,5).

I've got "half baked" which fits and dovetails with 15 down.

Anyway, for 25 across I've got _ _ I _ H/_ I _ _
