The crossword centres around a cricket theme and the two answers I haven't yet solved are both 7 letters long and intersect each other at their sixth letters. One clue is:- "10 across's bowling effectively did this to the opposition" (-E-I---).
The other is:- " 10 across's team enjoyed taking this"
(-E-E---). The answer for 10 across, incidentally, is
CLIVE LLOYD, who was, of course, a former Windies
captain.

I've seen BESIEGED answered on another thread.

........which would make the other answer REVENGE.

Thanks, Rossim, but unfortunately "Besieged" is one letter too long! I imagine the present tense may still be OK though. Thanks for your help.
