Clue: Unusually render Chinese yen after finish makes a comeback. 6 letters.
It's a circular puzzle with answers going in to or out from the hub.
So answer could be ?f?nis or sin?f?
I'm pretty sure these letters are right as they fit with the next door answers but I can't find a word to fit them or an answer that would then involve changing a letter (or two).

I think it's too exotic a word - I don't think it's in Chambers either.
