Just finished Sunday's Everyman (I know, bad week!) and I don't get the clue for 9 across.
"Name a song about an antelope." N-A-A. Answer must be NYALA (antelope) but why? Surely it can't just be Nyal+a. Where does the song come in?

a song= a lay (reversed), after N(ame)

Thank you Mattrom, I had never encountered "lay" used in this way. Another arrow in my quiver for future use.
