Hi Guys and Girls,

I "think" I have got the answers to these three clues but would appreciate confirmation and where possible, an explanation please.

1. Stormy yell at end of day (7) S-U--LY.
I have got SQUALLY (stormy) but SQUEALY (yell)also fits. What do you think?

2. Company short time by lake (4)C-M-
I have got COMO as in Lake Como. Is this right?

3. Animal, European, in a more colourful environment. (3&4) RE- -E-R.
I have RED DEER. RED =More colourful DEER = European animal. Am I correct>

Cheers.

Squally - end of day is y, and a baby squalls.
Como - co for company, short time = mo.
red deer - European - e in redder
O.K?

SQUALLY Squall can mean yell,cry,whimper + Y - end of da(Y)

Company = Co
short time = Mo(ment)

more colourful = Redder with an E(uropean) inside.

AJT, Silly Boy and Trevor, I am indebted to you all, thanks a lot lads for the confirmation and explanations.

Silly Boy, bit of a hiccup for you last night - we have got them next Saturday and they tanned us 3-0 up there. We had a comfortable stroll today.

Thanks again, lads.
