Thanks guys -had tried to think of lots of whiskey brands and didn't get one of the more obvious ones- Macallan. Hadn't heard of Talisker distillery.

Was the linked answer really "single malt scotch whiskEy"? A Scottish paper should know that scotch is always whisky!

Talisker (from Skye) is my favourite.
