Help please with parsing for the first and definition for the second.....

20a. Offer to divide charge for constituent of acetylene (7) - CORDITE (Constituent of acetylene)

If I've read it correctly it's 'Charge' = CITE, but that leaves ORD for 'Offer To' so I think I'm wrong.

49a. Objectivity of blooming old nurse recalled in sickrooms (11) OUTWARDNESS

I think this is 'Blooming' = OUT + O(ld) Nurse = SEN + Sickrooms = WARDS, but that leaves the definition as 'Objectivity' - can anyone explain or give examples of how these two are synonyms - or am I wrong?
