Hello, Elle!
Yes, my eye is fine.
The op went well!
I was the last patient at the clinic that day.
Had the out-patients ward to myself!
Just took a few minutes, then I walked home thinking how much better everything looked!
I go to see my optician in four weeks for a check-up,
And that should be that!

Good, glad all went well. You can now have a brighter outlook on life!!!
Dare I ask after your laptop..........?! or is that still a sore subject....?

The laptop?
Twice it was in the repair shop and twice it came home worse than it went in!
But between my granddaughter, Mr Google, and a small input from myself, it is working away not too badly, Elle.
It is slow to get going (like myself) but after that it is OK.
I wish I had chosen another repair shop, but worse things happen at sea!

Oh dear! with hindsight, you would have been better off asking the grandkids in the first place!
We gave up with our old computer and bought a new one a few months ago - it's amazing how quickly things move now!! I used to get so frustrated waiting for a change of page!
We have just had three beautiful days - blue skies, sunshine and temps in the low twenties! ( apart from the initial early morning chill, that is)
Good walking weather!
How about you?

Been fine and dry here but not too warm.
Great for walking!
We had a Cyclathon round the city today.
Like a mini Le Tour!
Lots of folk involved.

Did you go to see the Cyclathon then? or was it near to where you live?
I've got an old school friend lives up your way....... in Invergowrie. I know it's a small village somewhere near Dundee?
Is that anywhere near you?

Hell's bells! I live within a couple of miles of Invergowrie!
Often walk down that way.
Very quiet wee village. Some well known actress used to own a hotel there.
Not sure who it was, though.
Jill Gascoigne? Hannah Gordon?

Good Lord! What a small world!

I haven't visited much of Scotland.... years ago, went to the Black Isle with a group of friends.
Also attended a Haematology Symposium held at Aberdeen University... we stayed in the Halls of Residence as the students were down for the Summer.
I liked Aberdeen, lovely beaches - I remember we caught some fish, which we grilled and ate! (Ah, those were the days!)
And of course, we've been to Kirkintilloch where my cousin's family lives.

Re Hannah Gordon...... I liked her in "Telford's Change" (was that with Peter Barker?) and the bank one... what was that called? "Joint Account"?

It is a small world !
I like Hannah Gordon, too, but I rarely watch television. Turns out it was Jill Gascoine who had the hotel, Greystanes. Not called that now, though.
She was with Dundee Rep at the time.
Quite foggy here this morning.
Off to get my paper, now!
