Etui I knew was a needle case but had a mental block with housewife and missed first letters -careless
Minatory - never come across the word before but see miry and nato.

Minatory clue is quite appropriate as our city is awaiting the dubious pleasure of the NATO summit in September, with all the attendant disruption and the exciting prospects of protest marches!
