having trouble with this last clue and literally "clueless".
29 ac. Times article recalled British island rule (5)

help please!

Article - A
Times - X (multiplication sign)
British Island - IOM (Isle of man)

Times is X (algebra), article is A, recalled is AX, British island is IOM (Isle of Man) gives AXIOM = rule

School is a distant memory to me, but I always thought that in algebra, x was "unknown", and in multiplication, X was "times".
