Can anybody suggest an answer for:-

Task force (1,1.1) S_S

SAS, SBS or something better?

Hi Celadon,

I think you are on the button with the SAS.

If you read lots of articles such as the following, the phrase task force is to the fore.

e.g.
The SAS is part of a highly secretive unit called "Task Force Black" which also includes Delta Force, the US equivalent of the SAS.

Unless of course, one of our more illustrious site members can offer a better solution.

Is this a cryptic clue or a straight definition?
