Fail utterly in warehouse to get articles placed round piano (2,4,3,3,) - I have go down the pan , just need confirmation because it's causing me problem with another clue.

I've got 2 i've never heard of (I think). 3down: naval base was focal point primarily in the wars. I have S?A?A. ?L?W
Then 4down: those people getting to a short new play.
I see THE with the final letter being M or Y, then I have
?O?S?T? but can't make the anagram of "to a super" which I guess should be the middle of a play's name. Please enlighten me.
