Evening All,
As usual on a Saturday, I am up a blind alley with a corner of the puzzle.
Clue :- Ex-minister struggling at the last gasp(2,8)
I have :- I * / * * T * E * * * (The penultimate letter could be a K).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris - the last letter is "s" - you can have the answer if you want it - think extreme

in extremis.

Ordinary 'eck!!
Not sure I would have got there.
