I know this is late but only got my back issue today cos i never got the xmas eve issue. The first one is RANGOLI an anagram of IN GAOL + R.

The second one is PISCINA C + IN in PISA.

Of course that should be an anagram of SPAIN with CI inside. It's really annoying not being able to see the question when typing a reply. Also, I should have written:

Thanks for looking but I got it. I was reading it wrong and trying to fit 'PF' into anagram but its CARE OF. Wishing you all happy solving
