Andrew: I'm not surprised that you have had a problem with this. So did I! It's not in Chambers or Encarta [which I normally find reliable] but the answer is THUNDERBUG.
It's another name for the thunderfly...

I have BOLT and FLASH for the two.

Bolt - in terms of eating fast (bolt or wolf down)

Flash - F for Fair plus LASH (as in hair)

May be wrong of course!
