Hi every one, how are you all getting on with this quiz.
I have answers for 90 questions now but am VERY stuck on:-
6. Show is not a success and gets the bird (6)
8 The theatre is 'fully air-conditioned', but a cheerleader is wrapped up in a fur coat (6)
25 Hear critical assessment of loosely constructed entertain ment
any clues would be very gratefully received.

Also down to last handful after a very easy start.

6. Name of a bird that is used to describe a show that is a terrible flop.

8. Air conditioned means open air theatre. Have you ever been to Cornwall?

25. What a critic does to a show but as it's 'hear', the spelling is different.

Can you offer any clues for:-

32. Grated fish for the spectator who stood in the pit (10). I know grated fish makes an anagram but seems to have nothing to do with the theatre.

53. Unintelligent muttering sounds fruity (10)

59, Aborigine constructed box that was level (9)

Thank you so much imagcq. I had tried an anagram of the first word as it seem to obviously point that way. Even used an anagram site but the word didn't come up.

32 groundling

32 is anagram of first two words - then look up where a pit is in a theatre.
Re 6 I don't know a bird for describing a flop in the theatre unless it is goose ( and when I looked up goosing it had a rather rude meaning !!!!!!
Also confused over 36. ....but pbclic transport went to the hit - and had seats for anumber os people ( 7,3)

15. Name of a theatre.
36. An obvious means of public transport but its longer version for the first word. Can't remember how I got to the second word -perhaps googled the first.
37. Anagram of bitter and a word meaning incline.
48. A short way of saying Lieutenant and the name of a play
74. It's the name of a well-known playwright - his first name is a county and the other bits are expressed in his surname. Come back if you need more help

winnie - what is the bird that you have at Christmas??!!

What is the most obvious public transport you could use. In London they are red. But you need the whole name not the shortened, common word. The second word is where the Queen or other Royals sit in the theatre.
