dizoz:
Well, I got a few more but I got stuck again. Here are a few hints for you.

20D is connected with an obese mallard (work it out, google it & there he is).

14D has kind of been solved on this thread - he wrote 'Jerusalem: A Cookbook'.

3D Is a chap whose surname is (appropriately enough) a mixture which is used in sauces. Actually, there are two of them, snr & jr.

... and that's where I ran out of answers myself. Any other hints appreciated.

dizoz, take care & stay well.

Doing this in Madeira (just thought I would mention that!) without recourse to all usual tomes but managed it except 9ac ?h?l. A themed one I think but can't solve the clue. A little help please?

I did this crossword and can remember the answer - but can't give a little help without knowing what the clue says. You're right re it being a themed answer - used to be on tv fairly regularly, but not so much now. If you give the clue, I might be able to give another nudge round that.

I'm normally not very good at giving extra clues, but will try...
The answer (ie the surname)has seven letters.
You need a common, everyday word ( 4 letters) for 'extremely' and a common everyday word for 'tasteless' (as in 'in bad taste') Take the first letter away ('starter binned') - the three letters you have left fit inside ('filling') the four letter word. Hope this is of some use!

18a Vessel where 5 meets two females taking a little cruise. (4,4)
?E?A / ?A?A
I'm all at sea here! Sure it's obvious. Help appreciated.

Vena Cava (vessel, in a medical sense - I think).
It's V (5) + Ena (one of the females) +C (cruise) +Ava (the other female).

The parsing could be wrong!
