Could someone please give me the single word
that can prefix six symmetrically placed entries?

Thanks.

Thanks paul.

You really need to have the grid & the preamble
in front of you to understand my problem.

No problem , Rosie. I'll be interested if you get any further with this. I can't make any sense of the other 3 undefined answers i.e ONE , TWO and THREE and their relevant positions in the grid ! Cheers!

uncle_w, they just confirm the hint given by the word you told rosie. Look at the clue numbers of those three words.

Thanks cloverjo , I now see their relevance but am still at a loss interpreting the phrase 'next thematic serial number '. I'm obviously being rather obtuse about this !!
Like Rosie I apologise for the delay but have only just got in from choir practice .

I'm not sure what we're supposed to do next, either. It must have something to do with this puzzle being numbered 1111, so the next in the series may be 11111? I can't get that to fit the date in the title any way I look at it.

It might help to convert the puzzle number from binary, and then convert the next number after that back to binary.
