I wondered whether the answer to the People ...Oliver clue might be BOBSLEIGH but can't make it fit the cryptic clue. Any ideas?

I am thinking CORNSNOW. Cor - what to say to (french) birds and now as in at this moment. Can't fit the french bit in though!

No ideas, but could it be something to do with French Birds as in "Three French Hens"?

Can only come up with BONNENOEL but can't reconcile this with the clue and your letter O.

OK I've got the first one:

LET IT SNOW = LE TITS (french birds) + NOW

It's a bit nebulous, but could the second one be:

LOLL ABOUT = LOL (Oliver) + LA(ya)BOUT

Just going to check my Nigella Cake to see if it's OK!

Let it snow is a brillant answer - I would never have got it. I'm not sure about LOLL ABOUT although better than anything I have come up with and I suppose that is what happens during the Christmas break. Will go with that unless someone comes up with anything else. Hope you didn't burn the cake.
