It's usually not that difficult; you can change colour, make BOLD,
    underline and italicise in any combination you want.

    If this hasn’t worked then the normal control characters (eg “< … >”) aren’t working on this board.

Strange!
Bold seemed to work and Italics but not colour and Underline.

Will have to try again sometime.

Hi Jack,

If you want to use a colour name then it has to be in quotation marks like this:

color="red"

If you just want to use a hexadecimal number then it's like this:

color=#ff3399

Sorry should have also said that square brackets don't work here like they do on most conventional fora. It has to be HTML angle brackets like: < and >

Thanks John.
Had used "<..>" for other codes - Bold, Italics, Underline but couldn't see why colour didn't work!
Tried "[...]" just in case.
Forgot about the "s around colour name.
