Thanks JimC, I couldn't see that for looking.
I have Ken James, he used to be around some years ago, haven't seen him for a while. What about 26 across: Spend time with singer heard in the ocean (3-4) s?a-???s

Hi again.

"poetry can be a very difficult concept to understand" ... may be entropy = anagram of 'poetry' & 'n' although I don't understand where the 'n' comes from.

Hi again Rosecart.

"Spend time with singer heard in the ocean" ... could be sea-bass which sounds like 'see bass' ('bass' being a type of singer).

Thanks, JimC. I get the bass bit but can't see where 'spend time' comes in. Between us we'll eventually get this puzzle finished.

Sounds like "See" = to visit and spend time with someone.

Hi Rosecart. Streisand is correct, but more likely because it's an anagram of tries ('out') with sand = to 'smooth' something (as with sandpaper)
