What a stinker this week! I certainly wouldn't have it finished if it wasn't for all the posts and answers on this forum.

for 11a I have the answer LIVID but can't parse properly from the clue:-
Angry one stops receiving sex (5). Angry=livid but how does the rest parse???

def = angry = livid

one stops = lid receiving sex = contains VI

sex can mean 6.

pretty grim but that's what I think.

one stops LID
sex [six] VI

A lot of the clues left a lot to be desired, but maybe I just think that because I found it so hard. :(

this crossword is too hard, and that last clue you posted is ridiculous. Is Dean Mayer from northern Ireland ? where sex is tea time ?
