Does anyone here do this puzzle in The Independent (Saturdays). I never see the Inquisitor mentioned in the forum.
My husband bought a copy of this paper for the train on Saturday, and I had a go at it for the first time today. In the style of Mephisto, Azed, etc. Struggled with it (letters missing, letters added, and a phrase that needs highlighting for the entry), but a most enjoyable puzzle!

Yes it is a good thematic crossword, often educational, often with a quote or wordsearch to find and highlight at the end. Also, it has a bottle of champagne as a prize - more fun than a dictionary. I do use Bradfords crossword dictionary or sometimes online word search for it though, as some words can be obscure (2d this week).

Found 2d in Chambers (my bible!), but needed Bradfords to help with outside letters of 39a (though confirmed it in Chambers!).
Now use my Bradfords more often for this kind of puzzle.
