Had a shock this week. Operation for 22october cancelled. (I politely protested as I've waited more than a year & hip very painful. Next day phone call " come in this Monday. I had to cancel our trip to Cambridge this week for univ. reunion etc but better to get hip done! It was rather a shock though!
Oh what an initial shock, but I am so pleased that it is being done sooner.

My cousin has finally had her hip op in France and she was sending messages every day via iPad as there was internet connection at the hospital. Some hospitals have them in the UK. I do hope yours is one of them
