Really struggling today!
1A 10 refuse to admit possessing Catholic inclination (8)
only got one letter - the 5th letter is E
5A It modifies a word subtly, for example (6) no letters at all

All help much appreciated!

Adverb - The word Subtly is an example of an adverb itself
