1. Confused setter's headed west due to change in platform. Mixed up
This is presumably Mi (setter's headed west) followed by an anagram of due followed by p (platform) but that still leaves me with one letter (x) unaccounted for.
2. Damn banks cut bank activity. Fishing.
3. One failing to hold down good job in insurance. Loss adjuster
4. Cloud over. Rubbish that's smoke. Obscure
5. A phone company? Yes possibly. Moby
6. Sopranos against opening fancy media event. Press conference.

Many thanks in advance
