I set clues just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few? Since they're new, no letters!

Hello there Andy. Tried to make 'em a wee bit harder this week. I've been 'beating my head up' on the Mephisto clue on another thread. It looks a lot loke HMHS but we cannot explain the HM bit. I'm beginning to wonder about HOHS = cessation (rests?) but what's HO?. I must 'get a life' :)
