Just three to go:

D: bad dream about times (8). Starts with D and is undefined

F: Seen with Fred - oddly, makes one invisible! (4-4). Starts with F and is defined

V: Word picture that's on a banknote (8). Starts with V and is defined.

Once I get these I can start putting them all in the grids. Oh boy.

Fern seed? anagram and once thought to make one invisible?

D - it's an anagram of dream + 3 letter word for "time"
F - anagram again and it is defined as invisible. The other F one is the river in Northern Ireland
V - double defn

Thank you ab. I had fern seed as the only anagram possibility but ignored it as I had never heard that it was believed to make you invisible.

I got the D finally. So now just need the V.

If you only need the V, start filling the grids and then see what letters you have for the V one - then you should be able to solve it, as said before it's a double defn
