In my copy of today's (August 17) edition of The Times Weekend they have reprinted a copy of last week's (August 10 ) Jumbo Cryptic crossword No 1048. It would appear from today's members contributions to the Forum that a Jumbo Cryptic crossword No 1049 appears in some editions of today's Times Weekend.

What is going on with The Times?

Perhaps they're 'Behind' (the times!) ;o)

same here.just found out, prepared for a jumbo evening-infuriating.Do you live in the UK? Because I live in Spain and thought maybe only in Times printed abroad??

Well, at least I do have no 1049, but the Saturday Review was printed so off-centre that to see the Across clues I had to disassemble the whole supplement.

So far I've only managed 15, so this site probably will hear from me again.....
