please help.

Flatten animal voice by eucalyptus (8) I have I-O---R- Is it iron???? cant see what euclayptus has to do with the answer! Also this must be very obvious but am not getting it at all. Vote for Mary (4) and also Tory politicians from Thatcher era return dish (4) _ _ E _
