Reluctantly have to admit defeat in parsing 13 across: Sort of pan, new with thin handle? (3-5) . I have n?n?t?c?, so the answer would appear to be non-stick. Perhaps new is the initial n, but I cannot go beyond that. All help gratefully received.

I can only come up with

N(new) on stick

Thanks. I agree 'on stick' could be 'with thin handle', but it seems a very weak clue if that's what it is,
