Fairly simple clues, but really stuck on this last one.

If you are suspended by this, never wear a wig (4,7). The answer is something connected with the circus. Head/Hair something? Other suggestions are High Trapeze but for the life of me I can't see why that should be the answer. Any clues appreciated
