aristo @ 21 usual high quality clue, both great extraction anagrams. However, my winner would have been Ixion @ 15 with his very clever use of "Sybil Fawlty". His use of " lavatory" .......

Thanks, ginge. I did puzzle over it for a bit, but then thought: "How neat- a cryptic acceptance speech."

Cheers aristo I wish I could take credit for such a cracking deliberate ploy but simply I hadn't realised the cursor had jumped when I'd filled the screen text box on my phone and I was overwriting. Something I need to look into before next week as " input" text disappeared after typing once the text box was "full" and didn't wrap down and no scroll bar. Thanks for being so understanding.

Thanks Ixion but to my mind ' "Sybil" Fawlty in reception ' alone was on a higher plane (spiritual or otherwise ) and more than compensated for my not posting "Doris". Again, sorry about the confusion.
