I had Gold Ring for 40a and I think it should be Nose Ring!

I had DOCK RING for 40a.

Bob = DOCK (as in shorten)
Jewellery = RING

According to one website a dock ring is apparently a convenient way to tie up one's boat. Therefore one would be ideal for a "seafaring couple"
