I keep thinking BASH but I don't really like it.

I'm pretty sure that Aljanon is correct and 10a is Skye which means that (2d composer almost makes party.(4)) is now ?a?e.
I can see the Bach being 'almost' bash thing but that is a bit tenuous even for the DT. There is an American composer called Cage but I simply can't decypher this clue.
Help!!

2d ends with an e..last letter of 10a skye.
It could be kame(composer of almost make(s)anagram
But I cant see how kame relates to a party?
